Clark edges Aspel as dynamic duo sets course
record in annual run

Encouraged by the enthusiastic cheers of the spectators, national class runner Mike Clark of Fayetteville set a new course record for the grueling 6.2 mile course of the White River Classic Saturday with a time of 31 minutes and 14 seconds.
Clark and Aspel went through the first mile of the race at a furious 5-minute and 2-second pace and matched each other stride for stride until the 3 1/2-mile mark.
