It is a dirt and sparsely gravelled road used to access some of the trails in the Ozark National Forest.  They park and start at Jojo’s Catfish Wharf on the river with a short run up Highway 5 to Green Mountain Road.  An alternative to starting there is to drive up Green Mountain road to the White River Bluff Trailhead parking area.  You’ll avoid the monster hill at the start and running on a narrow Arkansas highway.  You will have to pay a day use fee to park there,  Some of the trails which start on Green Mountain road are also runnable.
